Stahl’s Ear Chicago

Ear malformations can be embarrassing and a constant source of self-consciousness. One example of an ear malformation that can be fixed using an otoplasty procedure is Stahl’s Ear, also known as Spock Ear.

Stahl’s Ear is usually surgically corrected around ages five to six. The younger the patient is, the more flexible the cartilage. And the earlier you deal with a child’s ear malformation, the sooner you’ll put a stop to social ostracizing. Surgical correction is also quite safe for adults, despite the stiffer ear cartilage.

So take the first step to ears that look more normal by contacting our office. You’ll be able to talk with Dr. Otto Placik, a board-certified plastic surgeon, about Stahl’s Ear and otoplasty.
