Patti Stanger Turns to Plastic Surgery
Although Patti Stanger may get a lot of credit for helping millionaires fall in love, there was a time when the “Millionaire Matchmaker” and Bravo reality TV starlet needed a little help with her own dating life. When her 7-year relationship with real-estate executive Andy Freidman came to an end in 2010, Stranger wasn’t feeling very lucky in the love department and her self-confidence began to drop. After a year of struggling to find her place in the dating world, she decided it was time to take some action and turned to plastic surgery to boost her confidence.
The 52-year-old recently confessed to Life & Style magazine that she had had a breast reduction and lift (her second reduction and lift surgery) and an eye lift and the results were transformational.
“I felt pretty and like I could go out, date and compete with all the young girls,” said Stanger in her interview with the magazine.
Plastic surgery gave Stanger the confidence she was lacking to meet someone new, and with a newfound positive mindset, it wasn’t long before the matchmaker found a match of her own.
Stanger is now dating mortgage broker David Krause, whom she met on online dating site over a year ago. During their first meeting, things went even better than expected when Krause paid Stranger the best possible compliment.
“When I met David [Krause], he thought I was younger than I was!” reminisced the matchmaker.
The feeling of being complimented on looking younger is wonderful for anyone, but even more so for a plastic surgery patient because that’s when you know the treatment truly produced amazing results.
Here at Body Sculptor, Chicago plastic surgeon Dr. Otto Placik knows exactly how incredible of a feeling that is and works with each of his patients on a personal level to achieve the most natural and optimal results – especially when it comes to facial plastic surgery.
The face is the first thing people notice when they meet each other, but as is natural, it is usually the first area where the signs of aging show up. Wrinkles, fine lines, and loose skin can lower anyone’s self-esteem, but treatments such as Botox, a face lift and an eye lift can easily turn back the hands of time, giving patients back their vigor and confidence.
Many times, just one area can be treated and that one area is enough to completely transform the patient. For Stanger, who originally came in for a full facelift, her surgeon did not think she needed such an extensive change, so he suggested she opt for just an eye lift. The results were spectacular.
Celebrities often take plastic surgery too far, altering themselves to a point they become unrecognizable, but Stanger looks stunning. The change is subtle enough that while she looks incredible, no one can tell she actually had any work done.
Dr. Placik also believes that sometimes less is more. He works to achieve the most natural results possible and never suggests a treatment that is not necessary or excessive.
