To Dr. Placik and Staff,

I am a thirty six year old mother of two. I had breast enlargement surgery with silicone implants when I was twenty-two to improve my body image and self esteem. After fourteen years and breast feeding two children I developed severe hardening in my breasts known as capsular contracture.

Dr. Placik was the second doctor I had a consultation with for this second surgery. I had my initial consultation with Dr. Placik in 1999, I was very impressed with his professionalism, he was both informative and personable. I delayed having surgery for personal reasons however I knew I would have the surgery eventually and I knew after the initial consultation that I wanted Dr. Placik to perform the surgery.

On June 8, 2002, I finally had the surgery to remove my silicone breast implants and the scar tissue that was causing the hardening and I had them replaced with saline breast implants. The first two days after surgery were uncomfortable but after that I was back to my normal routine pretty quickly.

Initially, I dreaded the thought of having this second surgery but Dr. Placik and his caring staff made it a positive experience. My breasts were now larger and more natural looking and feeling than they have ever been. I just wanted to let you know how pleased I am with the results of my surgery. I couldn't be happier with my decision.

If I had to make this decision again I would choose Dr. Placik. I would be happy to give a recommendation to any of your future patients so please feel free to share this letter with anyone who is considering having breast enlargement surgery. Thanks again to Dr. Placik and your staff.

My experience with Dr. Placik and his nursing staff was extremely positive.

I decided to have breast augmentation after nursing 3 of my children. I wanted to feel more feminine and shapely. I have to say...nothing but smiles with my results. Dr. Placik is an artistic surgeon and demonstrated such sincere interest when responding to my questions. He and his staff handled all of my concerns and fears and educated me about the procedure. I knew what to expect and was overjoyed with my recovery.

I am a healthcare professional and a registered nurse who has known Dr. Placik for 16 years. I first met Dr. Placik when he was a resident at Northwestern and while doing a rotation at Evanston Hospital. I always found him warm and friendly. Years later after 3 children, I consulted with Dr. Placik with a problem with my youngest and he did a corrective procedure on her face.
