When the upper thigh has excess fullness which bulges out under the buttocks and your skin is excessively loose and sagging, a surgical procedure can be done to improve the appearance of this area.
The procedure involves undercutting the skin high up on the side of the thigh and buttocks, removing excess fat and trimming away the excess skin. The surgical scars are strategically placed so that you can wear most bathing suits. This approach is often done as a separate procedure or in conjunction with liposuction.
A similar skin and fat removal may be done for sagging inner thighs.
Return to work and light physical activity is usually possible in a week. More vigorous physical activity must be deferred for 3 to 6 weeks. Individual considerations will be discussed at the time of your consultation.
